The University of Iowa Summer Journalism Workshops are one of the nation’s premier opportunities for professional development and university credit for high school journalism teachers, advisers and those aspiring to teach.
You will spend one fun, intense week with one of the nation’s top journalism educators — either online or on the historic University of Iowa campus, depending on the course.
Our courses are pedagogically and practically grounded and may be taken for graduate or undergraduate credit. In most states, our courses count toward a journalism teaching endorsement. Check with your state’s education department before registering.
(Because these courses can count toward degrees, registration is handled by the University of Iowa. To begin the registration process for one or more of these courses, click here.
If you have questions about the enrollment process, call the Division of Continuing Education at 319-335-2575. If you have questions about the courses themselves, please contact us at 319-335-3455.)
